Big Joy for Bulgari Fans: Another Gorgeous Hotel Opens in China
The primary idea behind the new Bulgari Hotel, which has recently opened its doors for the first visitors in Beijing, was to create kind of a big-city resort. And this doesn’t seem surprising: the very district conjures up such images. Chaoyang is the green heart of the city and also a very prestigious diplomatic quarter of the Chinese capital, which hosts a big deal of foreign diplomatic missions.
The hotel is located within the newly-built multifunctional complex dubbed “Genesis”. Here, on the banks of the picturesque Liangma River one can see the so-called “sculptural gardens” and a breathtaking building of the Genesis Art Foundation, an art gallery which was designed by a legendary personality in the history of minimalism – Tadao Ando, Japan.
Just as was the case with the rest of Bulgari hotels around the globe, the design of exteriors and interiors was entrusted to a famous Italian architectural bureau – Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel.
Inspired by the integral design approach of the 1930s, the authors paid loads of attention to every tiniest detail of décor. And this scrupulous job logically resulted into a construction, where all elements are matching, ultimately comfortable and purely designed. The hotel is expressively Italian-style, but the architects highlighted the hotel’s unique geographical features as well.
Over 100 rooms of the newly-opened Bulgari Hotel Beijing are furnished with pieces of such iconic Italian brands as Maxalto, B&B Italia and Flos. And a gorgeous suite with the total area of 400 square meters is designed in a familiar Italian style with the inclusion of ultra-modern technologies and traditional details characteristic of the Chinese culture.
