Best of Furniture at Salone de Mobile 2017 in Milan: Part 4
According to Sergio Mattarella, the President of Italy, Salone de Mobile is not just an exhibition; it’s the way to demonstrate the culture of entrepreneurship, the symbol of cooperation and a means of working with modern production technologies. And we’re finishing our review of the most eye-catchy stands and products of the exhibition that will be discussed the whole year round, till the next Salone de Mobile 2018.
Turri
Turri’s stand started from a very long queue. Everyone was impressed by the huge fountain by the entrance and the new collection, of course. Anyway, it is better to see once than to hear a thousand times.
Riva 1920
As for this brand, you already know all the news from our previous post: this year Karim Rashid managed to bring together the worlds of Riva 1920 and Lamborghini. The new collection is dubbed “Authentic Living” and includes a desk, a bookshelf, a chair, a coffee table and a sofa. All of the pieces are characterized by stylish wavy shapes and ultimate quality of natural materials, such as walnut and black genuine leather.
Longhi
Longhi is the Italian furniture for admirers of classics and elegancy. The company was established by the Longhi brothers, who had their hearts set upon exclusively natural materials and their combinations. The three pillars that their production is based on are glass, wood and metal.
Living Divani
Living Divani is an Italian brand that was founded back in 1970. Ever since then its efforts were concentrated on the production of minimalist-style and multi-functional beds, arm-chairs and other elements of interior. It has been almost 30 years since the designer Piero Lissoni started his cooperation with the brand.
Fratelli Boffi
The new collection by Fratelli Boffi was quite unexpected and pretty classical. Its most amazing features were bold design, non-standard finishes, amazing woodworking and even …precious materials.
Flexform
This company’s stand was beautifully designed by a famous architect Antonio Citterio. Mr. Citterio did his best to show how to fit the furniture of this brand into real interiors and arranged the entire zones dedicated to rest, work and even exterior design.
Sangiacomo
Sangiacomo is very good at adapting top trends and producing new interesting interior solutions: bedroom suites, walk-in closets and dining sets.
Cassina
This Italian furniture brand is already 90 years old. Its founders, just like many other start-up projects of that time, stemmed from a small production site and gradually developed into one of the leading manufacturers of furniture not just on the Apennine Peninsula, but in the whole world. Tables, chairs, cabinet and upholstered furniture could be found at their stand. And many of them were designed in collaboration with Patricia Urquiola, Philippe Starck and Konstantin Grcic.
Baxter
And finally we came to the last, but not least beautiful brand we wanted to show you. This is Italian manufacturer of leather products № 1 named Baxter. It interestingly mixes different colors, textures, forms and much comfort. Their stand was really fantastic, just like the entire Salone del Mobile in general.
Salone del Mobile 2018 will be held from the 17th till the 22nd of April. See you there!
